Kerehaklu Estate
Tucked away in Chikmagalur, Kerehaklu Estate has been run by its owners for four generations. Spread across 275 acres, the farm sits at an altitude of roughly 1100 metres above sea level. Coffee at Kerehaklu Estate grows alongside varieties of wild fig, jungle mango, jackfruit and pomelos.
The farm gets its name from 'haklu' which means ‘the shelter’ and 'kere' which means ‘by the lake’. Chandragiri, Selection 795, Selection 9 as well as small amounts of Anokhi Liberica are grown here while the different processing methods used include washed, natural, honey sun-dried and whiskey barrel aged coffee.
