ORIGINAL FOR RECIPIENT
We’re so excited to get Yelnoorkhan Estate on board with us as a partner farm for the very first time! The producer has specially processed this coffee by pulping the cherry and leaving the coffee beans to ferment with the sweet mucilage intact for 18 hours, before washing off the remaining mucilage and drying the beans, giving the coffee a unique fruity flavour profile.
This coffee has a medium body with aromas of marzipan and melon, along with a juicy mouthfeel which is best savoured as an Espresso, Pour Over, in the Moka Pot or an AeroPress. With low bitterness levels and medium-high acidity, this coffee can be enjoyed black or with milk. If you’ve enjoyed our coffees from Thogarihunkal and Kerehaklu Estate, you’ll love this one!
Situated a stone’s throw away from Karnataka's highest peak, Mullayanagiri in Chikmagalur, Yelnoorkhan Estate was established in 1903. It happens to be one of the few coffee estates in India at an elevation of 1524M above the sea level. The high altitude, ambient weather, fertile soil, and sufficient shade are what make Yelnoorkhan’s Arabica coffees special. The estate is currently owned by the Kelachandra Group and is Rainforest Alliance Certified.
